Our
Story

The LSB Museum is located in the heart of the French Quarter, at a 300 year old intersection. This important architectural structure and museum is over 200 years old, and was pivotal in the writing and structuring of the city of New Orleans as we know it today. The first State sanctioned bank of Louisiana, the building is the last design of the “Father of American Architecture,” Benjamin Henry Bonneval Latrobe. The LSB Museum is the culmination of his architectural endeavors.

Today the LSB Museum is a National Historic landmark that is actively working towards preserving and restoring some of the founding documents of the great City of New Orleans.
Come visit the LSB Museum and see what New Orleans history feels like.
